GameGu is a platform that connects individuals who want to swap physical console video games with each other, temporarily or permanently. By creating an account you accept these Terms in full.
What GameGu does and doesn't do
It does: let you publish your collection, search for games near you, propose swaps, chat with other users and rate your swaps.
It doesn't: GameGu doesn't take part in or mediate the physical swap, doesn't hold any kind of deposit or guarantee, doesn't verify that a game exists or is in the condition described, and doesn't confirm or certify that a loan has been returned — completion is a statement by the users themselves. GameGu doesn't resolve disputes between users.
In one sentence: GameGu puts you in touch. The swap and its safety are up to you.
Who can use GameGu
You must be at least 18 years old, and you expressly confirm this when signing up. The information you provide must be truthful. One account per person.Game ratings
The rating shown with each game comes from IGDB (Internet Game Database) and is shown for information only. GameGu doesn't produce it or guarantee its accuracy; it doesn't represent the game's monetary value and doesn't block or affect any proposal.Acceptable use
Don't publish games you don't own, don't use the platform for disguised buying and selling, don't publish false or illegal content, don't harass other users, and don't create additional accounts to get around a block.Safety when meeting in person
Meet in a busy public place, preferably during the day. Check the condition of the game at the handover. These are recommendations, not guarantees.Reputation, reports and blocks
After each swap you can rate each other (1–5 stars + comment), visible publicly. You can report or block any user.Personal data and privacy
We process your data in accordance with the GDPR. Your location is only stored approximately (random offset of up to ±1.5 km) — your exact location is never stored. You can delete your account from your profile. All the details are in the Privacy policy.Intellectual property
"GameGu" and its logo are trademarks of their owners. Video game covers and metadata come from IGDB and belong to their publishers/developers.Limitation of liability
GameGu is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, GameGu isn't liable for the actions, content or behaviour of users, or for damage arising from a swap agreed through the platform.Governing law
These Terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to any rights consumers may have.
